Form

Getting form and layout right is vital, so the internal spaces need to be generous and well proportioned and the external form needs to work with its surroundings. The links between Sculpture and Architecture are often lost on modern housing developments and it is time to reintroduce them.

New designs are needed to build original structures that fit more naturally into the environment. The aim is to create energy efficient and eco-friendly structures with low visual impact that blend appropriately into different landscapes.

The images on the right are of a commission in the southwest of England for a live/work development where one module is a three bedroom house and the adjacent module (a mirrored form) houses two studios and offices.
